Accion Presbyterian Ministries

Accion was founded by Rev. Oscar Dorantes who worked in Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula (his home) for over 20 years.  Accion Ministries was officially founded in 1989.  The organization embodies his vision of bringing Americans to partner with Mexican Presbyterian Churches to further their programs and needs of the people.  The vision continues to expand to help provide educational opportunities to the children -- especially those from the rural Mayan communities served by Accion.

In the Fall of 2008, Rev. Dorantes retired and his son Oscar R. took over the position of Director of Accion Ministires. Oscar R. is excited about his new role and the continued success of Accion. Read our Fall 2009 newsletter for more information.
