Boys' Shelter - El Refugio de Jovenes

The shelter provides a Christian environment for students to live in the city of Merida while attending school.  From the poorest villages and towns throughout the Yucatan Peninsula, these men find a true refuge in the shelter.  They are hosted at no cost until they become pastors or professionals to pursue a productive life on their own.

Today a number of them are pastors or professionals and are able to serve the church and community.  Service to God and fellowmen is the strong emphasis in the shelter.  Presently there are 11 young men in residence at the shelter. Read our Fall 2009 newsletter for more information.
