Typical Schedule and Events

A typical trip to the Yucatan lasts 8-9 days. Teams usually arrive in Cancun and are picked up at the airport by Accion.

The first day is spent buying supplies at Costco and traveleing to the village. The team members will stay in the houses of church members in the village. Everyone sleeps in hammocks!

A typical day in the village consists of getting up early, working on the work project until lunch and hosting a Vacation Bible School in the afternoon. Nights are spent relaxing and holding worship services with the team.

At the end of the trip, the group takes a day of R&R at one of the Mayan ruins or other tourist attractions. The last night is spent in a hotel and the next morning the team is transported by Accion back to the airport.
