Work Teams The 2008 season was another great success for our American work teams in Mexico. We had 302 volunteers from 13 teams across 9 different states who came to work and share their love of Christ in the Yucatan. These teams constructed walls, roofs, floors, bricks, and basketball courts at churches and homes in eleven different villages from four Mexican states. The extrordinary beauty of the land, the friendliness of its people, and the enchanting Mayan village culture both attract and invite many who want to come, explore, and experience the Mayab while at the same time working hand-in-hand with their Mayan Christian brothers and sisters across the Yucatan Peninsula. If you would like more information about our workteam program or would like our help in putting a team together for the upcoming season, please contact our Workteam Coordinator, Abby Gwaltney (see Contact Info). Read our Fall 2010 newsletter for more information. |
